Poetry in the Park

June 13 @ 5:45 pm - 7:15 pm

This workshop is ideal for individuals of all ages who want to get outside, meet other creative folks, and connect with nature and their authentic selves to create written pieces that reflect who they are and how they see the world. During each workshop, I will bring some activities to inspire creative writing and introspection, as well as create a safe space to share and…

  • Find inspiration and connection in nature
  • Build our creative stamina
  • Discover confidence and support in community
  • Reconnect with our authentic selves through open-hearted expression
  • Write some poems
  • Remember that we are human beings living in community with each other and nature

In addition to these aims, attendees will have access to an online Google Classroom community, which includes community resources, writing exercises, and discounts. The Google Classroom also provides a space for connection and collaboration.

This workshop is in-person outdoors at the picnic tables across for the swimming pool/ice rink in High Park. In the event of inclement weather, the workshops will be converted to online or rescheduled based on facilitaor and registrants preferences. The workshops will take place on Thursdays in May & June and Fridays in July & August at 5:45pm. Workshops are pay-what-you-can. You can pay here on Eventbrite or bring cash to the park on the day of the event. Thanks in advance for your support. 🙂
