Painting Hummingbirds – an explosion of colour

Unleash your creativity during this 2 hour paint & learning session! Create your own vibrant hummingbird using STAEDTLER pigment brush pens and water on canvas as you learn painting techniques from our expert. It will be a relaxing evening of friends, refreshments, and art!
You will learn how to use pigment brush markers and water to create beautiful colour blends and dimensional shading. All products are supplied to the class, just come and enjoy!
In this session, you will learn:
- How to trace a sketch or photo onto canvas
- Choose colours that blend the best for pleasing results
- Techniques to blend pigment brush pens with a water brush
- Complete your own hummingbird watercolour painting
- Explore paint techiques to explore on your own after the session
Supplies are included. Guests will experience the fine art supplies by Staedtler.

About the artist that created the project:
Sandy Allnock is an artist based in the Seattle area who works in a variety of mediums, subjects, and styles.
Sandy studied art in the 80’s at Frostburg State University and spent much of her career as a graphic designer and illustrator working at agencies and nonprofits before striking out on her own as an independent artist. She discovered her childhood desire to one day become an art teacher could finally turn into a dream come true, and Sandy is delighted to help artists of all levels of experience to take their own next best steps in growing creatively.
