Math Camp for Girls 2024

Math Camp for Girls is a not-for-profit program aimed at girls ages 9-12 with an interest in mathematics. It is designed to help young girls build their confidence and skills with mathematics by exposing them to math in a fun, interactive, and hands-on way. Participants will have the opportunity to study interesting topics in mathematics, develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills, and engage in some summer fun!
The camp will run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm each day, and the cost of the four-day camp is $200. Drop off and pick up times are available beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 5:00 pm.

Math Camp for Girls is organized by:
Emily Liu – Emily is a second year Health Sciences student at Queen’s University. Her achievements include:
• Earned a Silver Medal at International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)
• Earned a Bronze Medal at Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (CCO)
• Qualified four times for the American Invitational Mathematical Examination (Top 2.5%)
Kat Dou – Kat is a freshman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her achievements include:
• Earned 2 Silver Medals at the European Girls Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO)
• Coached and led 2024 Canadian EGMO Team as Deputy Leader
• Qualified three times for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (Top 2.5%)
• Top 10 at the 2021 DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC); Ontario Provincials champion
Mia Cadsby – Mia is an incoming freshman at Harvard University. Her achievements include:
• Qualified two times for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (Top 2.5%)
• Qualified for the Advantage Testing Foundation/Jane Street Math Prize for Girls (Top 250 in USA and Canada)
• Teaching as a course instructor for world-renowned math professor Po Shen Loh’s Daily Challenge LIVE course
Jessica Yi – Jessica is an incoming Applied Math student at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her achievements include:
• Qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (Top 2.5%)
• Worked as an econometrics research assistant at the University of Toronto’s Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, supervised by Professor Dan Trefler
• Earned University of Waterloo Hypatia Mathematics Contest Honour Roll: 52nd out of 5600+
Emma Tang – Emma is a grade 11 student at the University of Toronto Schools. Her achievements include:
• Earned 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal at the European Girls Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO)
• Earned a Gold Medal at the Pan American Girls Mathematical Olympiad (PAGMO)
• Qualified five times for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (Top 2.5%)
Daria Picu – Daria is a grade 11 student at the University of Toronto Schools. Her achievements include:
• Qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (Top 2.5%)
• Qualified for the International Young Physicists Tournament Team Canada (Top 5 Canadians in physics research)
• Qualified for Canada Math Camp (Top 30 grade 10 and under)
